James Jonghoon Kim
James is the founder and chief executive officer of Capital Connect. He is also CEO of Tiandi Partners, a South Korean investment company.
Previously he founded EQ Partners, the country’s number one infrastructure private equity firm, serving as CEO for nine years. During his tenure, he successfully raised and managed assets worth about $1.8 billion, with over 90 percent invested outside Korea.
James has also held senior executive positions at Korea Investment Partners, Macquarie Capital Fund Group, JP Morgan Chase (NY), Thompson Hine, Samjong Houlihan Lokey and Korea Long Term Credit Bank.
He obtained a juris doctor (JD) post-graduate degree from University of Cincinnati and a master of laws (LL.M) from New York University. James graduated from Seoul National University with master in finance and bachelor in business administration degrees.
Jinwon is a managing editor at Capital Connect. He previously led an economic and finance news translation team and was a senior editor at Reuters’ Seoul bureau. Before joining Reuters, Jinwon worked as an overseas public relations specialist at South Korea’s Finance Ministry.
Kyoung-ho is a senior reporter and editor at Capital Connect. He is a veteran journalist with more than 15 years of experience covering the South Korean macro-economy and foreign exchange markets for Reuters and Bloomberg.
Hyewon is a reporter at Capital Connect. She previously worked as a reporter covering international economic news at Reuters. Hyewon has a bachelor of arts in English translation from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
