The Korea Securities Finance Corporation (KSFC), which serves as the executive office of the private investment pool for public funds, will select a collective investment scheme appraiser, reported the Yonhap Infomax on June 9.

According to the financial investment industry, the executive office of the private investment pool for public funds in KSFC announced that it will choose a company to be its collective investment scheme appraiser.

The selected collective investment scheme appraiser will evaluate the operational performance and other aspects of the private investment pool for public funds.

The KSFC will accept bid applications until June 15. The preferred bidder will be announced on June 22.

The consignment period will be from September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2024.

The private investment pool for the public funds system was introduced by the Financial Services Commission in September 2015 to support the stable and efficient asset management of small and medium-sized pension funds by integrating and operating the surplus funds of various pension funds.

Private pension funds of organizations such as mutual aid, private universities and public corporations are the main participants of the investment pool. (Reporting by Hyewon Chang)
