HDC Asset Management

Introduction

HDC Asset Management, established in 2000, is an affiliate of Hyundai Development Co, a major construction and engineering company in Korea. It invests mainly in the Korean equity and fixed income market, together with alternative and international assets. 

CEO

Hong-Il Kim was promoted from within the HDC Group in 2018 to become CEO of HDC Asset Management. After graduating from Seoul National University, he worked at Hyundai Securities and Kyobo Securities before joining the HDC group in 2003. At the HDC group, he was responsible for planning and personnel affairs and is also known as a financial expert.

Performance

HDC Asset Management established the first REITs after receiving the REITs AMC accreditation in 2017. It also diversifies investment forms and business areas to generate stable revenue. As of August 2020, HDC AM’s AUMs are worth 5.5493 trillion won.
