South Korea’s National Pension Service has decided to openly recruit the chairman’s position, which has been vacant since May 14.
Membership of the Executive Recommendation Committee is made up of non-executive directors and external experts in various fields, including civic groups and academia.
In the process of appointing the chairman, the committee conducts document and interview screening and recommends multiple candidates (three to five) to the Minister of Health and Welfare. The Minister will eventually recommend the approved candidate for appointment.
The chairman will serve for three years and he or she may be reappointed on a yearly basis depending on the results of the management performance evaluation.
